My Backbone

The True Meaning of a Backbone, They say the human body's backbone provides support, structure, and strength. In life, a person can also be a backbone, the source of unwavering support that holds you up when you feel like you might crumble.

For me, that person has always been my husband, Imbran Khan. Our journey began long before marriage, with a shared vision of a better future. He saw beyond our humble beginnings and believed in my potential, encouraging me to pursue an education and grow into the person I was meant to be. Our early days together weren't easy. We faced financial hardships and, perhaps even more painfully, the cruel whispers of others. Each word felt like a crack in my heart, but he stood firm. He taught me to see beyond the noise. While I worried about what others said, he reminded me to focus on what truly mattered. His strength wasn't just in his words; it was in his actions. He worked tirelessly, not just for our present, but for the kingdom we were building together. He always believed that our journey was meant to be traveled stateside, growing together, not apart. After we were married, his support became the foundation for everything I did. He didn't just tell me to study; he created the space for me to do so.

With his encouragement, I completed my diploma and am now pursuing my degree. Every step of my career in teaching, every success and every challenge has been faced with his motivation and belief. He is the reason I can shine; without his support, my light would have remained dim. Our journey is far from over. We're still walking this path, hand in hand, building our future brick by brick. My backbone is not a structure of bone and sinew, but a bond of love, trust, and unwavering support. Thank you, my love, for being my backbone and for being the foundation of our kingdom.
